ReplyDeleteI love New England. ;) And I'll be playing, cause I'm home today! Yippee! Taking time out of my writing this afternoon to play. Be back at 1:00 pm...
ReplyDeleteKris- SO EXCITING!!!! Yay.
ReplyDeleteOff to the first clue!
ReplyDeleteYou go! Woot!
ReplyDeleteLove the first clue - one of my fave people! Is anyone else playing?
ReplyDeleteWe may have a nice relaxed game here! Just sit back and take it easy, Kris!
ReplyDeleteAlthough we can't forget what happened to the Hare!
Too true, Tina. My fingers are itching for the next clue...competitiveness coming out in me!
ReplyDeleteI'm here to play, late, but here. Off I go.
ReplyDeleteI know! What to do in the meantime? Small talk? Hmmm? How's the weather out there?
ReplyDeleteRainy here, and I made progress this morning. Finished my second to last chapter.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, Crystal!!
ReplyDeleteCool, Kris! You are going to have to tell me that someday in The Practice Room!!
ReplyDeleteFinally got the first, now on to the second! I know my husband's going to interrupt any minute...must hurry :)
ReplyDeleteGo, Sarah, go!
ReplyDeleteAlmost forgot! I'm here though. I couldn't get off work so I had to do some catch-up!
ReplyDeleteI found #2. New England has some mighty cool writers.
ReplyDeletePractice room sounds awesome, Tina. I'd love to join you some day. Timing hasn't worked out yet.
ReplyDeleteJeff! Way to be! Glad you are here!
ReplyDeleteYeah, Kris, Thoreau and Poe... New England is chock full of brilliance!
You guys made this harder by doing out the clues one at a time. Sneaky you are.
ReplyDeleteKris, someday the time will work out... YAY!
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of tricks up our fancy sleeves!
ReplyDeleteGreat clue that time!
ReplyDeletethree down, two to go...
ReplyDeleteThat third one was kind of tricky. . .
ReplyDeleteOoh, I feel Crystal breathing down my neck. I better pick this up.
ReplyDeleteTricky is Heather's middle name!
ReplyDeleteAnd no dilly-dallying out on the course!
he, he, he :) You're super fast Kris!
ReplyDeleteI always feel too much fan girl when I post on blogs of people I'm a huge fan of. Anyone else have that problem...hate to sound dorky. ;)
ReplyDeleteI like that, Kris. Me too!
ReplyDeletesorry all! Have to leave, I'll finish later!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jeff! The race shall go on(but it will miss you and be waiting on your return...)!
ReplyDeleteDone, just got to unscramble the clue. *curses*
ReplyDeleteNo curses in our phrase! No way, no how! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, Kris, there is still one more clue!! Don't post too soon!
ReplyDeleteThere's that last clue!! Google away!
ReplyDelete*Really does curse this time* thought there was only 5 clues. *red face*
ReplyDeleteLike I said, Tricky is H.'s middle name! We are having our moment's back stage too, k. And I can't even tell that you're blushing...
ReplyDeleteWell, now I'm done, but I posted my guess too early. Awesome game guys!
ReplyDeleteKris--every other race, there were only 5 clues. you have nothing to be red about! This race is going great!
ReplyDeleteKris--GUESS AGAIN!
ReplyDeleteIt's first correct guess that wins--you can keep going!!! And, everyone else too--who knows when someone gets the answer right!
ReplyDeleteI'm done, but I'm stuck on the phrase. I can't make any sense out of it. . . Hmmmm. Must. use. brain.
ReplyDeleteKeep your google on, Kris!
ReplyDeleteKeep going that is, all of you. Like Heather said. Now that she finally has Blogger napping on the pallet like a sweet lion!
ReplyDeleteReally? I'm completely stumped. And I've gone back to all the clues to make sure I wrote them right. Hmmm.
ReplyDeleteKris, you can do it! Use the blank spaces up top as a guide.
ReplyDeleteYeah, um, I sort of did that. A few times. I feel like I need the little hangman on the side of my notebook. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm stuck with the phrase. Still!
ReplyDeleteKris--we think that there is an error on our part. We apologize, and are fixing the problem with the spaces above.
ReplyDeleteJust checking - are the phrases for #2 and #6 supposed to be the same?
ReplyDeleteBlogger, the temperamental lion that she is, has split up our clue spacing for the phrase. One moment as we rectify this issue...
ReplyDeleteKris, must check on that. Getting back to you. The circus tent is in a riot here!!!
ReplyDeleteOkay--so each line is now one full word, instead of one letter, so blogger doesn't split our words up.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, from the stands here, it all looks like part of the show.
ReplyDeleteYou should have nine individual words that make up the phrase around Nor'easter.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are doing great, I don't even know how you would organize all this, it's pretty amazing :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Crystal--we learn something new each time we do this, as far as organization goes.
ReplyDeleteKris! You are so (curse word) generous!
ReplyDeleteCrystal!! Big sigh! Thanks! Figuring this out! Yay.
Love you guys, love the game, love the blogs we toured today. Still can't figure out the phrase. :( Should get back to work! I only have an hour before school is out!
ReplyDeleteWe have the winning-est of winners playing our game. Thanks for your patients. Putting out fires as I speak. Don't look at the man behind the curtain...
ReplyDeleteOOps, patience!
ReplyDeleteexcuse me!
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteAhem. Is this thing on?
ReplyDeleteOkay, I messed up and posted the wrong clue at one of the blogs. Like Kris said, were there supposed to be two WRITERS MAKE? No, there were not.
Go now, back to Clue #6!
Now that makes more sense. I think I've got it!
ReplyDeleteWOO-HOO! We're making you work for your supper today!
ReplyDeleteWhew. My heart is pounding and my hands are shaking. You guys do know how to throw a party.
ReplyDeleteIn lieu of drugs and alcohol, we have adrenaline...
ReplyDeleteWhatever works, I say. ;)
ReplyDeletei'm playing today, but i started late, so i'll probably loose :(
ReplyDeleteKate! There is not losing, just googling and fun and friends and practicing... good to see ya!
ReplyDeleteGood luck to all!
Good luck, Kate! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteHi all! Just submitted a phrase guess after being interrupted by a countertop delivery (we have countertops, yay!) and lunch (yum, now need chocolate). My brain was hurting after trying to use that clue phrase twice...I think I'll still try and do it, just for funsies. Great clues and comments to all, congrats on another game!
ReplyDeleteThat was a fun game! I think I finally got the secret phrase. Good work everyone!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm here. About to get started... I have one hour before I have a billion other things to do. Can I do it??? We're about to find out...
ReplyDeleteIf anyone can do it, you can Elana! Think awesomesauce :)
ReplyDeleteI'm here! My first game and I'm excited! I spent all day reading these comments and trying to understand the game, but unfortunately our school computers block our ability to comment...I guess they don't want us blogging at work or something. Ridiculous. Talk about torture. Be back soon...hopefully with some insight!
ReplyDeleteSarah, Countertops? Fabulous! Worthy interruption. Thanks for try and try againing! We have a lot of that going on in the tent today!
ReplyDeleteCrystal! Glad you had fun. Glad you finished. Thanks for your patience during the snafu!
Elana! I think you can. I think you can.
Lyndsay- Hey! I'm excited for you! And doesn't your school understand what we are trying to do here?? So ridiculous! :-) Good luck.
Holy crap. I think I did it!! Okay, now to submit...
ReplyDeleteOkay, I even submitted. Dude, this one was SO MUCH FREAKING EASIER than last time. Just FYI. Or maybe I grew some extra brain cells or something. But yeah... that didn't happen. :)
ReplyDeleteHi everyone! Great job all around!
ReplyDeleteElana--I have found the learning curve to be severe. As in, it's hard the first couple of times, but once you've got it, you've got it.
Of course, I am sitting on this side of the WIBIJ tent!
ReplyDeleteOkay, got it! Thanks so much for the fun!
ReplyDeleteAnother contest!
ReplyDeleteMakes me feel all haiku-y
This won't be pretty
Here we go!!!!! BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!!!!! I have had company this week and she was here until about an hour ago so I'm ticked off that I couldn't do the race bit! One week it' the neighbors, the next it's friends...BAH!!! lol
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, off to comment :-)
Just checking in for a final look-see as you start taking down the tent. Whew. It's all about perspective - Elana thought this week was easier! I expected today to be easier -- *ahem* I had spotted a few of Jon's tell-tale CAPS earlier in the day, so I thought I already had a head start. Then you guys had to go all tricky on us during the race. ;)
ReplyDeleteBetter late than never!!!!!!! I started (and left a comment?) but I don't know where it went!
ReplyDeleteIn any case, I did it!
okie, dokie, done
ReplyDeleteno easier than last time
i'm a slow learner
Well, I thought I signed out a couple hours ago. My computer's being funky. This is me attempting once again to sign out. It was so much fun! Thank you for your work to make it happen!
ReplyDeleteYou guys did fabulously! Thanks for making it past my glaring mistake and having fun! Love is in the air!
ReplyDeleteYay, everyone! For all those latecomers, the game is still open until 1 PM EST today. And, it's definitely doable!
ReplyDeleteLyndsay--you did post a comment, I got the email, but it never showed up here. How bizarre! And, everyone, Lyndsay has the most colorful blog where she talks us through craft and bake projects--so awesome!
CRAP! I missed it. I don't think I have ever missed a WIBIJ game!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for stopping by and commenting! I'm very curious as to what the phrase is. (What happened to the good ole days when the phrases were 6 words? I'm feeling nostalgic.)
ReplyDeleteGreat clues! Super job Heather, Tina, and Jon.
Kelly, We missed you! But as you can see we carried on. Stiff upper lip. We are grin and bear it folk...
ReplyDeleteLaura, Between you and Kelly's comment I'm felling very nostalgic too! Thanks for being a hostess with the mostest!!!
Man, I think I screwed up the phrase. That learning curve is still pretty steep. What's with the blanks and the word "Nor'easter"?
ReplyDeleteOr...
Why am I so lame?
Elana--oh, dear. I have to admit, you made me chuckle. I'm laughing with you, I swear! Yes, we try to give a clue as to what the unscrambled phrase looks like. We will accept it both with and without the "Nor'Easter". So, that's good, right??
ReplyDeleteHi! Fun being part of the game this week, thanks! Nice to meet you, by the way!
ReplyDeleteHey, thanks for saying my blog is colorful! You make me feel special:)
