I hope you feel inspired to have fun and give the following authors some love! And if you're new, here are the directions:

Welcome friends from far and near,
Thanks for coming; for being here.

First, some business, before we play,
Disqualification for all who stray!

Sign in at the comments down below,
New clues, every 10, after you go.

Leave Respectful words at each new place,
Stay On Blog Topic--or you're out of this race.

Collect Jon's clues from the comment pile,
Visible by their CAPITAL style.

Return again, comment that you're done,
Submit your phrase, maybe you've won!

There's not much more for you to know.
Welcome to the circus; away we go!

New England, today, is the place to be.
Follow the clues; writing friends you'll see.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  12. Almost forgot! I'm here though. I couldn't get off work so I had to do some catch-up!

    ReplyDelete
  13. I found #2. New England has some mighty cool writers.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Practice room sounds awesome, Tina. I'd love to join you some day. Timing hasn't worked out yet.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Jeff! Way to be! Glad you are here!

Yeah, Kris, Thoreau and Poe... New England is chock full of brilliance!

    ReplyDelete
  16. You guys made this harder by doing out the clues one at a time. Sneaky you are.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Kris, someday the time will work out... YAY!

    ReplyDelete
  18. We have a lot of tricks up our fancy sleeves!

    ReplyDelete
  19. That third one was kind of tricky. . .

    ReplyDelete
  20. Ooh, I feel Crystal breathing down my neck. I better pick this up.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Tricky is Heather's middle name!

And no dilly-dallying out on the course!

    ReplyDelete
  22. he, he, he :) You're super fast Kris!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I always feel too much fan girl when I post on blogs of people I'm a huge fan of. Anyone else have that problem...hate to sound dorky. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  24. sorry all! Have to leave, I'll finish later!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Thanks, Jeff! The race shall go on(but it will miss you and be waiting on your return...)!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Done, just got to unscramble the clue. *curses*

    ReplyDelete
  27. No curses in our phrase! No way, no how! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Oh, Kris, there is still one more clue!! Don't post too soon!

    ReplyDelete
  29. There's that last clue!! Google away!

    ReplyDelete
  30. *Really does curse this time* thought there was only 5 clues. *red face*

    ReplyDelete
  31. Like I said, Tricky is H.'s middle name! We are having our moment's back stage too, k. And I can't even tell that you're blushing...

    ReplyDelete
  32. Well, now I'm done, but I posted my guess too early. Awesome game guys!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Kris--every other race, there were only 5 clues. you have nothing to be red about! This race is going great!

    ReplyDelete
  34. It's first correct guess that wins--you can keep going!!! And, everyone else too--who knows when someone gets the answer right!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm done, but I'm stuck on the phrase. I can't make any sense out of it. . . Hmmmm. Must. use. brain.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Keep going that is, all of you. Like Heather said. Now that she finally has Blogger napping on the pallet like a sweet lion!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Really? I'm completely stumped. And I've gone back to all the clues to make sure I wrote them right. Hmmm.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Kris, you can do it! Use the blank spaces up top as a guide.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yeah, um, I sort of did that. A few times. I feel like I need the little hangman on the side of my notebook. :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. I'm stuck with the phrase. Still!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Kris--we think that there is an error on our part. We apologize, and are fixing the problem with the spaces above.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Just checking - are the phrases for #2 and #6 supposed to be the same?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Blogger, the temperamental lion that she is, has split up our clue spacing for the phrase. One moment as we rectify this issue...

    ReplyDelete
  44. Kris, must check on that. Getting back to you. The circus tent is in a riot here!!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Okay--so each line is now one full word, instead of one letter, so blogger doesn't split our words up.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Don't worry, from the stands here, it all looks like part of the show.

    ReplyDelete
  47. You should have nine individual words that make up the phrase around Nor'easter.

    ReplyDelete
  48. You guys are doing great, I don't even know how you would organize all this, it's pretty amazing :)

    ReplyDelete
  49. Thanks Crystal--we learn something new each time we do this, as far as organization goes.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Kris! You are so (curse word) generous!

Crystal!! Big sigh! Thanks! Figuring this out! Yay.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Love you guys, love the game, love the blogs we toured today. Still can't figure out the phrase. :( Should get back to work! I only have an hour before school is out!

    ReplyDelete
  52. We have the winning-est of winners playing our game. Thanks for your patients. Putting out fires as I speak. Don't look at the man behind the curtain...

    ReplyDelete
  53. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Ahem. Is this thing on?

Okay, I messed up and posted the wrong clue at one of the blogs. Like Kris said, were there supposed to be two WRITERS MAKE? No, there were not.

Go now, back to Clue #6!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Now that makes more sense. I think I've got it!

    ReplyDelete
  56. WOO-HOO! We're making you work for your supper today!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Whew. My heart is pounding and my hands are shaking. You guys do know how to throw a party.

    ReplyDelete
  58. In lieu of drugs and alcohol, we have adrenaline...

    ReplyDelete
  59. i'm playing today, but i started late, so i'll probably loose :(

    ReplyDelete
  60. Kate! There is not losing, just googling and fun and friends and practicing... good to see ya!

    Good luck to all!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Hi all! Just submitted a phrase guess after being interrupted by a countertop delivery (we have countertops, yay!) and lunch (yum, now need chocolate). My brain was hurting after trying to use that clue phrase twice...I think I'll still try and do it, just for funsies. Great clues and comments to all, congrats on another game!

    ReplyDelete
  62. That was a fun game! I think I finally got the secret phrase. Good work everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Okay, I'm here. About to get started... I have one hour before I have a billion other things to do. Can I do it??? We're about to find out...

    ReplyDelete
  64. If anyone can do it, you can Elana! Think awesomesauce :)

    ReplyDelete
  65. I'm here! My first game and I'm excited! I spent all day reading these comments and trying to understand the game, but unfortunately our school computers block our ability to comment...I guess they don't want us blogging at work or something. Ridiculous. Talk about torture. Be back soon...hopefully with some insight!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Sarah, Countertops? Fabulous! Worthy interruption. Thanks for try and try againing! We have a lot of that going on in the tent today!

Crystal! Glad you had fun. Glad you finished. Thanks for your patience during the snafu!

Elana! I think you can. I think you can.

Lyndsay- Hey! I'm excited for you! And doesn't your school understand what we are trying to do here?? So ridiculous! :-) Good luck.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Holy crap. I think I did it!! Okay, now to submit...

    ReplyDelete
  68. Okay, I even submitted. Dude, this one was SO MUCH FREAKING EASIER than last time. Just FYI. Or maybe I grew some extra brain cells or something. But yeah... that didn't happen. :)

    ReplyDelete
  69. Hi everyone! Great job all around!

Elana--I have found the learning curve to be severe. As in, it's hard the first couple of times, but once you've got it, you've got it.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Of course, I am sitting on this side of the WIBIJ tent!

    ReplyDelete
  71. Okay, got it! Thanks so much for the fun!

    ReplyDelete
  72. Another contest!
    Makes me feel all haiku-y
    This won't be pretty

    ReplyDelete
  73. Here we go!!!!! BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!!!!! I have had company this week and she was here until about an hour ago so I'm ticked off that I couldn't do the race bit! One week it' the neighbors, the next it's friends...BAH!!! lol
    Anyhow, off to comment :-)

    ReplyDelete
  74. Just checking in for a final look-see as you start taking down the tent. Whew. It's all about perspective - Elana thought this week was easier! I expected today to be easier -- *ahem* I had spotted a few of Jon's tell-tale CAPS earlier in the day, so I thought I already had a head start. Then you guys had to go all tricky on us during the race. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  75. Better late than never!!!!!!! I started (and left a comment?) but I don't know where it went!
In any case, I did it!

    ReplyDelete
  76. okie, dokie, done
    no easier than last time
    i'm a slow learner

    ReplyDelete
  77. Well, I thought I signed out a couple hours ago. My computer's being funky. This is me attempting once again to sign out. It was so much fun! Thank you for your work to make it happen!

    ReplyDelete
  78. You guys did fabulously! Thanks for making it past my glaring mistake and having fun! Love is in the air!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Yay, everyone! For all those latecomers, the game is still open until 1 PM EST today. And, it's definitely doable!

Lyndsay--you did post a comment, I got the email, but it never showed up here. How bizarre! And, everyone, Lyndsay has the most colorful blog where she talks us through craft and bake projects--so awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  80. CRAP! I missed it. I don't think I have ever missed a WIBIJ game!

    ReplyDelete
  81. Thanks everyone for stopping by and commenting! I'm very curious as to what the phrase is. (What happened to the good ole days when the phrases were 6 words? I'm feeling nostalgic.)

Great clues! Super job Heather, Tina, and Jon.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Kelly, We missed you! But as you can see we carried on. Stiff upper lip. We are grin and bear it folk...

Laura, Between you and Kelly's comment I'm felling very nostalgic too! Thanks for being a hostess with the mostest!!!

    ReplyDelete
  83. Man, I think I screwed up the phrase. That learning curve is still pretty steep. What's with the blanks and the word "Nor'easter"?

    Or...

    Why am I so lame?

    ReplyDelete
  84. Elana--oh, dear. I have to admit, you made me chuckle. I'm laughing with you, I swear! Yes, we try to give a clue as to what the unscrambled phrase looks like. We will accept it both with and without the "Nor'Easter". So, that's good, right??

    ReplyDelete
  85. Hi! Fun being part of the game this week, thanks! Nice to meet you, by the way!

    ReplyDelete
  86. Hey, thanks for saying my blog is colorful! You make me feel special:)
