Clue #1 @ 1:00 EST
It's an informative place, that's for sure.
As far as the crow flies, or just a bit more,
All her authors, Sara invites to post.
Welcome to the nest, she's a wonderful host.
Clue #2 @ 1:10
Now that you've left your first comment--felt a part of the game,
Or maybe you didn't solve number one; still, feel no shame.
However, there might be shame at number two.
If pimping your novel isn't easy for you.
Clue #3 @ 1:20
It's not WIBIJ these days without visiting that scary sword wielding gal,
Describing a font dork moment, while channeling her Gollum pal.
I'm sure she won't reject a WIBIJ author-friend.
Especially since a gay werewolf fairy novel is exactly what you've penned.
Clue #4 @ 1:30
A spin-off of two is number four.
If math's not your thing than science may be a bore.
But, the science of romance novels, surely you jest.
Regardless, Laura, we think you are the best!
Clue #5 @ 1:40
A long wait so others can catch up, put you in their sight.
Here is ours, so patience to skim Monday's post must be found.
Just remember, Nathan does it every day, with nary a sound.

I'm here and I'm OFF!
ReplyDeleteWelcome Dena!!! The game has begun.
ReplyDeleteDena, if you need help, you can always leave questions in the comments.
ReplyDeleteAlright, time to get started!
ReplyDeleteMariah!! Hooray!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the big top!
Dena's been spotted and clue two is up!
ReplyDeleteMariah's coming up right behind her!!!
ReplyDeleteDena saw you at two. And your comments do sparkle!
ReplyDeleteDena is so fast!
ReplyDeleteMariah, way to come here! Nice comment back at home base!
ReplyDeleteDena has been spotted! But Mariah's giving her a run for her money. (This game if free by the way).
ReplyDeleteI would even go as far to say that it's about tied up. Both Mariah and Dena have been spotted at number 3, and are waiting for the forth clue to appear! Way to keep it tight! The excitement is palpable!
ReplyDeleteThree is up and they are neck and neck!
ReplyDeleteMariah at 4! Has she pulled ahead?
ReplyDeleteAnd referencing a book? That's WIBIJ style!
ReplyDeleteThis is an intense game you guys! I'm loving WITBIJ!
ReplyDeleteHaha, thanks Tina!
ReplyDeleteMariah--You've earned a break. Three minutes before the next clue is posted! Great playing!
ReplyDeleteMariah, I hope you are having a sip of tea! Five is about to post. And where oh where has Dena gone?
ReplyDeleteThere she is and referencing The Bible!! That is a first at WIBIJ!
ReplyDeleteOh--Dena--your comment at stop 4 made me LAUGH SO HARD!
ReplyDeleteAnd clue number five has some extenuating difficulties. I wonder how our beloved participants are getting on?
ReplyDeleteDena has been spotted at five!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd Dena has unscrambled our phrase!!!
ReplyDeleteGah! I was soooooooooo close! Literally about to unscramble.
ReplyDeleteWOOT!
ReplyDeleteLOL Dang it I missed the game :( Super fun tho you guys! :D
ReplyDelete♥
That was so much fun!! HEHEHE! I did it!
ReplyDeleteDid all my comments show up?!
I hope so!
I literally just slapped some sunscreen on my kids and made them play outside so I could FOCUS!
Mariah--it was so close!
ReplyDeleteAli--You can still play!
There is a best comment award. The game is open for 24 hours!
Dena--awesome!
Mariah--still post your unscrambled phrase, so that you can be eligible for the Best Comment Award!
ReplyDeleteIn the Submit Here thing at the side, I mean.
ReplyDeleteHa! Welcome back! This has been such a fun race. The jury is still out. Dena may have got the first phrase in but the game still goes on. Play and get your comments in and there are already some brilliant ones out there to look at. You two are some eloquent commentors!
ReplyDeleteI feel like I'm missing a word for the secret phrase. Am I supposed to add one that has to do with the theme of the game?
ReplyDeleteNo--you should have picked up a working phrase. If you think you might have missed a word somewhere, take a look back at the game blogs and see.
ReplyDeleteWell, it's a silly phrase. And seven words.
ReplyDeleteOh! I've got it.
ReplyDeleteyay!
ReplyDeletePerfect, Mariah!
ReplyDeleteWe will return with a wrap up to this exciting race on Thursday and include all that comes after. Please come one and all and play all day. Thank you, Mariah and Dena for playing right now!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Signing out... have to go do some laundry!
ReplyDeleteI'm signing in late. But I have no clue which blog one of the clues refers to.
ReplyDeleteawesome! Thanks, guys! It was so much fun! You did a great job!
ReplyDeleteGot to go take care of the kiddies now!
*see* you on thurs!
Dena - Congrats, félicitations, поздравления, felicitaciones, congratulazioni!! The blogoshpere will hereby remember today as the day you became our very first winner. Not only did you come in first place, you left excellent comments along the way.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the game, Laura! Excited to see you. Can I help you out?
ReplyDeleteMariah - You may have started a few minutes late, but you certainly caught right up, how impressive! Your comments are glittery and certainly set the bar high for our subsequent participants. Nice!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of subsequent participants, welcome Laura! I am excited to see you guys come in and join us. Remember the game stays open until 1PM tomorrow afternoon. Dena may have won first place, but the award for BEST COMMENT is up for grabs. Grab your bottle of glitter and put on your thinking caps and keep the game going!
ReplyDeleteI also have to give a shout out to my circusy partners in crime, Tina and Heather, for keeping the game going as I went around the blogosphere. I hope to one day share some flyer miles with them.
ReplyDeleteWoo-hoo--a Jon sighting at WIBIJ itself! Thanks for stopping by, Jon! And, welcome to everyone who's starting their game now! Who will win the coveted Best Comment Award, I wonder?
ReplyDeleteI'm stopping, at least for now. I have no clue what clue 3 is. An agent's blog?
ReplyDeleteLaura, that is a wonderful comment out there at clue one!
ReplyDeleteLaura, there is a hint heading your way!
ReplyDeleteI'm here! I'm about to get started.
ReplyDeleteWelcome, Casey!
ReplyDeleteCasey--nice comments. You're quick and supportive. And already at stop number two!
ReplyDeleteDone! That was fun. : ) Love the idea.
ReplyDeleteGreat, Casey! Perfect. Thanks for playing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the hint. I actually, looked at that blog Heather but didn't see any of the clues on the page. I didn't think of googling the phrases. Next time, I will.
ReplyDeleteUm, now I'm trying to unscramble the sentence with no success. I'll submit it if my brain can work. I think I've been working too hard.
I think I messed up. *groan*
ReplyDeleteOh No! What do you mean? There's never a mess up here! We are so flexi! (Jon has to tell me this regularly as I am always messing up behind the scenes!)
ReplyDeleteLaura--you found all the right blogs. I don't think you messed up. Email me if we've done something that's confusing!
ReplyDeleteI know! I know! I'm late to the game! I'm ready to comment and explore even though I know I'm not a sparkly winner! (Congrats, Dena!)
ReplyDeleteYou are such a trouper, Kelly! But you never know what is in store, as they say, it ain't over 'til the blogger lady recaps(and Jon speaks his piece as well)!
ReplyDeleteI"m stumped on number three! I googled main words in the clue and I have no idea!
ReplyDeleteBut I do want to say I am so impressed with this. I had no idea this was such a spectacle! I don't know how I didn't even realize it was it's own blog! I think you all are going to get lots of traffic ( and fun ) on this. Whoever wrote the rhyming clues is very clever!!
Wow, I go away for a while and the stands fill up! I am impressed with everyone's positive attitude. We did trial runs and while they were surely entertaining, I found myself uber frustrated. I, and I am sure I speak on behalf of Tina and Heather, would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU (no not a clue) to all of today's participants and to the people who will come in tonight and tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteIf reading this comment thread makes you run the other way, watch out for the lions because the clues are really the best way out of here.
I hope you have filled out the feedback form. We need to know every detail, every confusion, and every blond moment, that is if you would like to entertain us. The feedback form is anonymous, so we won't question the authenticity of your hair color.
Again, thanks for being our guinea pigs and trusting us to not throw you to the cats.
Okay, finally gave feedback and am signing out.
ReplyDeleteI just found it hard to make a sentence out of the words. I felt like an article was missing. We'll see when you reveal the answer.
Okay, I just read that there were 7 words. I thought there was only one capitalized word in each clue, so I must have missed some. That's why I had a hard time unscrambling. Duh.
ReplyDeleteLaura, I picked the phrase and had a hard time unscrambling it, so don't you fret! Glad you stuck with it!
ReplyDeleteI'm late because I work the night shift and slept all day, but this looks like so much fun!!!
ReplyDeleteTina Lynn-you are actually right on time. The game lasts until 1 PM Wednesday, so go right ahead and play. Not all the awards have been won!
ReplyDeleteI've figured out four of five
ReplyDeleteBut can't play today
That's no Jive
I'm out the door
To soak in a Hot Spring.
But this looks like fun
Way better than Bling Bling!
Congrats in Advance
To all who have played.
If my schedule allowed
I sure would've stayed!
Gosh, Paul! That comment has get to earn you some kind of honorable mention. Playing or not! Thanks for that!!
